Equitable access to specialist sexual abuse counselling for our community.
There are circumstances where a client’s recovery is best achieved by using more than one kind of counselling interaction. We recognise that not every one fits the with the same counselling style, and we trust that the client is best equipped to decide on which therapies/supports are best for them as part of their unique treatment plan. When appropriate the therapist can explain these. They include but are not limited to the following:
Group and family/whānau sessions; Art Therapy; Trauma Informed Yoga; Equine Therapy; Rongoā, and Cultural Support. These are optional. The choice remains with the client.
