Introduction

I am a qualified counsellor with a Bachelor of Applied Counselling from Manukau Institute of Technology and a full member of the New Zealand Association of Counsellors (NZAC).

I offer a warm, trauma-informed and culturally responsive approach.

Originally from Malaysia, a culturally diverse country, and having lived in Aotearoa New Zealand for over 26 years, I bring a deep understanding of the migrant experience and the importance of identity, belonging and connection.

I am experienced in working with clients from a wide range of backgrounds and ethnicities.

I provide therapeutic support for adolescents, young adults and adults experiencing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, emotional regulation difficulties and the impacts of sexual harm.

My work is grounded in a strong trauma-informed lens, and I have experience supporting survivors through both short-term stabilisation and longer-term trauma processing.

I also integrate culturally grounded models to ensure respectful and relevant support.

I meet each person where they are, walking alongside them with empathy, respect and hope as they build resilience and move toward healing.
