Introduction

In understanding what truly matters in the world, I am guided by this whakatauki: ‘He aha te mea nui o te ao? He tangata, he tangata, he tangata.’ Translated, it asks what is most important in the world and answers that it is people, always people. This philosophy shapes my approach to every interaction—recognising that genuine connection often requires us to share our own narratives and step beyond our comfort zones. In doing so, we can offer solace to those in need. My perspective on life has evolved into seeing it as a shared voyage where we support one another on our path home.
